YouTube not loading up was due to corrupt Windows 8 file winload.efi

For the last week and a half, I’ve had problems with YouTube’s style sheets not loading up, and not being able to click on and run YouTube videos (This video is unavailable).

I thought it was my ad-blocking software, Hostsman. It was not.

I thought it was my Flashplayer being corrupt. It was not.

I kept Googling and trying to figure things out. I eventually decided to “Refresh” my Windows 8.

When I tried, I got an error message that said that

\windows\system32\winload.efi does not exist.

But when I looked, there it was.

I eventually got so frustrated that I decided to completely restore Windows 8. I could not, getting the same error message.

I went to MicroCenter about an hour ago, and put the Windows 8.1 X64 ENGLISH disk in and went to RESTORE.

I now have YouTube back.
